The Micro1600 satellite tracking antenna combines a patented phased array with a state-of-the-art tracking system and RF electronics package. It is designed for mobile tracking 2-way voice/data communication and is type approved for operation over the MSAT/MSV network.
This high gain low profile antenna bridges the gap between existing mobile tracking technologies and offers new capabilities to emergency response teams, military personnel and people in rural areas where cell phones may not get reception or the terrestrial network has been compromised.
The Micro1600 provides a reliable, secure two-way push-to-talk voice communication system that can be used on a daily basis or earmarked specifically for emergencies.
This system allows the flexibility for users to have a private conversation or speak with a talk group independent of their geographic location. The Micro1600 system stays connected by providing steadfast voice communication anywhere it has a direct view of the satellite. Should the line of sight become obstructed, the antenna uses gyro stabilization to point in the direction of the satellite until it recovers the signal. This feature helps to minimize reacquisition time.
The Micro1600 is suitable for mounting on any type of vehicle. It attaches quickly and securely to the roof, providing a wind survival of up to 120 MPH. The system can also be used as a stand-alone unit in permanent or fixed installations.
